Paramount Gold and Silver Corp | Company Profile

Paramount Gold and Silver Corp is a precious metals exploration company operating in the northern Sierra Madres of Mexico. The company's principal asset is a 70% stake in the San Miguel project, located directly east of Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation's (CDM-TSX, CDE-NYSE) Palmarejo project.
Paramount is focused on the San Miguel project , located approximately 260 miles west of the city of Chihuahua and 7 miles north of the town of Temoris (population 1,500) at an elevation of 1,600 metres. The property is accessible by both road and rail. Any potential mining operation would require either
an upgrade to an existing power line or generate power on site.
The San Miguel project contains a number of targets along approximately 7 miles of strike length. The company has drill tested only a portion of the project's strike length and to shallow depths (generally down to 150 meters depth). The oxide-sulphide transition can be up to 50 meters thick and can be as deep as 100 meters.

On june 25, 2008, the company released an updated National Instrument (NI) 43-101 compliant resource estimate for its San Miguel project, outlining indicated and inferred resources of 66 million ounces of silver and 416,000 ounces of gold, an increase of 238% and 695% respectively from the previous resource
