Projects
Pampa de Pongo Iron Ore Project
- Massive magnetite replacement body in the Marcona IOCG District,Peru.
- Independent (SRK) Scoping Study shows an 863-million tonne ininferred resource grading 41.3% iron, 0.1% copper and 0.07 g/t gold.Potential of up to 1.4 billion tonnes reviewed.
- After-tax NPV8 is US$4.1 Billion and IRR is 20%. Robust economics.
- Projected pellet production of 15 million tonnes annually.
- US$200-million sale agreement in October 2008 - company continues to seek higher bids.

Pampa El Toro Iron Sands Project
32,000 hectares located in southern coastal Peru's Marcona District, 40 miles from deep water port.
Extensive dune fields with significant magnetite sand component.
Strategy is to delineate reserves for a multi-decade iron mining operation with dry magnetic concentration on site and pig iron production at port prior to export.
Definition drilling is complete and SRK are currently working on a resource estimate.
Initial results prove dry magnetic separation can produce a high-quality iron concentrate.
Q4-2008 - export of 60 tonne iron concentrate to US for full-scale melting tests aimed at production of a premium-quality pig iron ranging from 96% to 98% iron and 2% to 4% carbon.
