Blackstone Ventures is a Canadian, Vancouver based, mineral exploration company focused on exploring for and acquiring quality base metal (Ni,Cu,Zn) sulphide deposits in Norway and Sweden

The key strategy has been to focus exploration efforts in under-explored regions of Scandinavia with a record of historical mining or historical mineral resources. The historical resources are viewed as having an excellent potential to be upgraded into new industry compliant resources.
Currently Blackstone has 18 projects areas in its property portfolio. Fifteen of the projects are focused on nickel. Blackstone's key exploration projects are well positioned with respect to infrastructure and the company is currently the largest mineral claim holder in both Sweden and Norway. Within their land package exist several (>50) historical,small scale nickel mines and historical resources which have never been explored with modern geophysical methods or deep drilling.

Over the past two years of utilizing these modern tools, Blackstone has identified several targets which are now being drill tested.

Quality Portfolio of Base Metal Projects - Focused for Exploration success
Three recently acquired project areas in northern Sweden are copper-zinc or copper-gold projects. The company believes these projects will be significant for the company over the coming year. With this number of high quality projects in its portfolio it can be difficult to maintain a focus.
The company's strategy in 2007 was to quickly test as many of the target areas with a first pass of exploration.This prioritized the highest potential targets in oder to focus their 2008 efforts onto the best projects. The company remains focused on projects with the potential to become world class base metal exploration discoveries.
